Back from Africa. I got back a week ago and thought I would share a little. An amazing experience. The people I met were incredibly gracious. We would travel from house to house in a township called Waterloo and the people would just soak up whatever we offered. There were people who knew nothing of Christianity but would allow us into their home to pray for them. In America we hide behind locked doors when we see people going from door to door. Here we had people, admittedly not all but most, stand on their porches and motion for us to visit. We were honored to pray with many people each day, pass out tracts about the LORD, and perform a lot of children's ministry programs. We performed skits in the streets, in parking lots, and even for a school. Waterloo primary allowed us to speak to over 1200 students. They even allowed us to pray for their kids, though the prayer had to be a generic asking for help type of prayer. Still it was a great opportunity. We also spent some time going on three college campuses for prayer walks. As far as the country itself is concerned, it is beautiful. Mountains and beach within an hour everywhere we went. In some ways it almost felt like cheating on a mission trip. Here was the prettiest place I have visited in a long time. However, when you talked to the people you saw the need. It was a growing experience to be sure. The missionary there was a great guy and has asked me to consider moving there for a year. Part of me wants to, part of me is unsure. I wish I had the answer but I am trusting God to give it to me when the time is correct. I guess that's about it for an update. Next week I will head back into cupofwater territory. Thanks for stopping by and for praying or supporting anyway that you did. God bless.
